Currently the company has a number of individuals with extensive experience in seismic construction and oilfield services, including several with over 20 years in a senior supervisory capacity.  This contributes to the breadth of knowledge in process applications and provides stability and continuity of consensual support in operations.

• Shannon Burns, Owner & President – A resident of the Fairview vicinity since birth, Shannon has cultivated a wide-ranging set of skills and experience in the seismic, trade, oilfield construction, and business sectors, with 26 years experience, working 10 years in management, from 1985 to 1996, for Destiny Resources.  In 1990-92, he did a two-year tour as country manager for Destiny, in Bolivia/Venezuela.   A personal philosophy of adaptability and his practical hands-on approach has seasoned him in all facets of the business, including equipment operations, maintenance, management, sales, and administration.  A visionary, he exhibits strong leadership skills in creating enthusiasm in moving towards a shared objective of informed decisions in a collaborative setting.

• Tony Gelsinger, Operations’ Manager – Mr. Gelsinger has cultivated an extensive work history in the field of seismic and oilfield construction.  During the course of the past 25 years, he has functioned as an independent consultant to numerous local firms, and has developed a thorough knowledge of the industry from the ground up.  Tony’s experience is reflected in his ability to foresee and circumvent problematic issues in the field.  Known for his precision in communication and a tenacious dedication to quality, these are signposts of his strong work ethic and willingness to transfer his knowledge to subordinates and peers within the industry.

Management and Key Personnel

• Tammy Swicheniuk, Office Manager – Miss Swicheniuk has an extensive background in Service Management and Financial Management.  During the past 20 years she has worked in CGA firms, industry accounting positions, management positions with restaurants, and she has been with Terroza for one and one half years now.  Tammy has exceptional communication skills in client and vendor relations, as well as a very personable attitude.  Tammy’s great organizational skills have helped to create a smooth running office.

• Jamie Rushton, Administrative Assistant – Mrs. Rushton has been with Terroza for 3 years.  Jamie’s administrative skills have been a great asset to Terroza.  Her phone skills and personality make it a joy to call the office.  Jamie has great potential in our office and the attention to detail she shows, goes a long way in this industry.

• Brian Portsmouth, Shop Mechanic – Brian has been with Terroza for the past 5 years.  Previous to that he had worked for Destiny Resource Services Corp., under Shannon’s management, for 12 years, with taking a year off to work for Canadian Heli Drilling.  He has his heavy-duty mechanics ticket with the Interprovincial seal.  He has extensive hydraulic equipment design and troubleshooting experience.  Brian has also been involved in Heli and Track frame design and manufacturing.  Brian’s experience lends a great confidence to us that he excels in this company.

• Ted James, Shop Mechanic – Ted has been with Terroza since 1998.  He has been the mechanic on our Heli Drills and Track Drills.  Ted also has his Class 1 and drives truck when needed as well as runs service truck in the winter.  He also has been our drill push and supervisor in the field when needed on small jobs.  Ted’s experience is a definite asset to our company.
