Additional Information on LIS Drills

Terroza Exploration Services Inc. and its affiliate, Terroza Drilling Alaska LLC, specialize in Seismic Exploration and Drilling.

Our comtrak drills are built specially for LIS (low impact seismic). They are 68 inches wide, 130 inches long. They are only 2 pounds per square inch ground pressure. They have the capability to drill with air and/or water. Our units are on straight rubber tracks, which provide minimal environmental damage to the area. Because this unit is so small and compact, it allows the unit to maneuver with minimal impact to the environment. Our comtraks are electric over hydraulic for drilling and driving. With the electrical, it has full instrumentation. All gauges are wired to an early warning shutdown system, protecting against low pressures and high temperatures.

The LIS Drills have been tested on slopes up to 45 degrees - the low center of gravity provided excellent gradability and side hill characteristics that other drills do not have.

The hydraulic system is enclosed in a leak proof tub, to prevent environmental spills. The fuel tank is also enclosed for the same purpose.

These machines have the ability to be maneuvered from either the front or the back of the LIS unit. This machine can also be driven by remote for safety of the operators as well as for areas with little access.
